I’ve been working with a FTSE 250 specialty chemicals company on a series of workshops, facilitating the middle management and the executive team in developing their philosophy and engagement with process safety and its management, building on the very competent work of their specialist team.  This work which started a little over a year ago culminated in a session yesterday with the plc board to explain the governance framework, the underlying management systems and to generate understanding, buy-in and endorsement of the company’s approach to ensuring and developing its process safety.  Fascinating to work with the different perspectives brought by widely experienced non-executive directors from very different industries, augmenting the detailed insights of the executive team.
